About The Event
Over 12,000 runners take part in the marathon, enjoying a course that starts in Preston Park, snakes its way through the city, along the glorious seafront and finishes at the iconic Madeira Drive.
How to enter
There are two ways you can join Team Macmillan in this seaside event.
Secure a charity place
Bag yourself one of our charity places and help us be there for the xxx people living with cancer in the UK. We ask for a £30 entry fee and a minimum fundraising pledge of £600 (excluding gift aid).

Use your own place
If you have bought a place in the race already and would like to run for us, sign up here and we'll get a free Macmillan running top sent to you. There's no minimum sponsorship, just raise as much as you can!

Please make sure you have read our Terms and Conditions before signing up. You must be aged 18 or over on the day of the event to take part.
Pandemic promise
Our main priority is the health and wellbeing of our participants, volunteers and colleagues. We're committed to keeping you up to date with information regarding your event as we receive it.
If your event is cancelled or postponed, we will be in touch to let you know what options are available to you. If you have any questions, you can email the team at running@macmillan.org.uk and we'll be happy to help.
Event Accessibility
Visually impaired participants are welcome and usually take part with someone supporting them on route. There may be a discounted charge for this to cover event costs such as food etc. so please speak to the Action Challenge team for more details.
For spectators, there is limited wheelchair access and this can vary on the day depending on ground conditions.
