How to donate to Macmillan

Find out about the different ways you can donate to Macmillan, including online, by post or via your bank. You can also find out how to pay in a fundraising collection to us safely.

It's quick and easy to donate online. From our online donation form you can:

  • make a one-off donation or become a regular donor
  • pay in money from a collection or a fundraising event online
  • make a donation on behalf of a company, group or association
  • make a donation in memory of someone or in celebration of a special occasion.

We are extremely grateful for your ongoing generosity. Our post is taking longer to reach us than normal so if you post your donation, it will take us a bit longer than normal to send you a thank you letter. We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.

To send us a cheque or set up a direct debit by post, simply download the appropriate donation form and send it to the address provided at the bottom of the form.


If you haven't signed a Gift Aid declaration yet, you can do this easily using our online form. Alternatively, you can download a Gift Aid declaration [PDF] sign it and post it with your donation. If you are eligible, Macmillan can claim an extra 25p back from every £1 you donate, from the government at no extra charge to you. Find out more about Gift Aid

Text your donation

A quick and easy way to give either a one-off or regular monthly donation.

Text donations will be added to your phone bill or taken from your pay as you go credit.

Text MOBILE to 70550 to make a £5 single donation

Text REGULAR to 70550 to make an ongoing donation of £5 a month.

Obtain bill payer's permission. Age 16+. UK mobiles only. One-off donations charged at £5 + std rate. Monthly subscription donations charged at £5 + std rate each month. Macmillan Cancer Support is a registered charity in England & Wales 261017, Scotland SC039907, and Isle of Man 604. We receive 100% of all donations. If you'd like to donate using a credit or debit card you can do that online.

If you're having trouble donating online or have a special request, we can also take credit/debit/charity card payments securely over the phone. Just call our Supporter Care team on 0300 1000 200. Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Pay directly into our bank

You can make a donation in person at the bank or by doing an online transfer. Please call our Supporter Care team on 0300 1000 200 or email them at fundraising@macmillan.org.uk. They'll be able to send you a paying-in slip to use at any branch of NatWest, RBS or Ulster Bank, and take your details so we can send you an acknowledgement letter.

Alternatively, they can provide you with a reference number and details to use for a bank transfer.

Donate from overseas

Due to strict security on our website for overseas donations you require a UK bank account. But there are a number of alternative options:

  • Call us on +44 207 091 2235, and we can take a credit or debit card payment in Great British Pounds over the phone. Our lines are open 9am-5pm GMT Monday to Friday.
  • Call us on +44 207 091 2235 or email us at fundraising@macmillan.org.uk and we can provide you with our bank details to make a bank transfer directly to our account
  • Donate to Macmillan via www.justgiving.com/macmillan. They accept a range of currencies, and money reaches us securely.
