Diabetes and cancer treatment
About this booklet
The booklet explains how some cancer treatments can affect your diabetes and make it difficult to control your blood sugar. It also has some tips to help you cope with side effects of cancer treatment if you have diabetes. You may also want to read it if you have been told you have an increased risk of developing diabetes because of your cancer treatment.
We hope it helps you deal with some of the questions or feelings you may have. We cannot give advice about the best treatment for you. You should talk to your doctor, who knows your medical history.
How we can help
There are lots of benefits that could help you after a cancer diagnosis, but the system can be confusing. Our Welfare Rights Advisors are here to help.
