As well as having information and support services for you, we also have many services which can help your family and loved ones.

Can I talk to someone about cancer?

  • Macmillan Support Line

    You can phone the Macmillan Support Line. We offer confidential support to people living with cancer and their loved ones. If you need to talk, we’ll listen. If you would like to talk to someone in a language other than English, we also offer an interpreter service for our Macmillan Support Line.

  • Cancer Information Nurse Specialist

    Our Cancer Information Nurse Specialists are dedicated cancer nurses available to talk to on our Macmillan Support Line.

  • Energy advice

    If you have cancer and your energy and heating bills are going up, find out how we can help with access to energy schemes and grants.

  • Financial Guidance

    Cancer can have an impact on your finances. Find out how Macmillan can help you with money problems

  • Welfare rights advice

    We know that money is a big and often difficult thing to talk about when you’re living with cancer. You may be entitled to benefits which can help you. Our Welfare Rights Team can help you find out if you can get benefits and how to access them.

  • Work Support Service

    The Work Support Service offers advice to people affected by cancer who are employed or self-employed.

  • Talk with a Telephone Buddy

    Our free Telephone Buddy service is here for you. We'll match you with someone who understands what you're going through, and they'll give you a weekly call.

  • Macmillan Well-Being Coaching

    Our Macmillan Well-Being Coaches are here to help you if you have or have had cancer. They offer free, remote coaching to people who want to work towards making a positive change in their life.

  • SafeFit exercise advice

    SafeFit is a free remote trial for anyone in the UK with suspicion of, or confirmed diagnosis of, cancer. We put you in contact with a cancer exercise specialist who will help you during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

  • Macmillan Grants

    Macmillan Grants are small, one-off means-tested payments to help with the extra costs that living with cancer can bring.

  • Macmillan Will Writing Service

    With Macmillan's Free Will Service, you can have your will written for free by one of our trusted will writing partners or solicitors. You can leave a gift in your will with Macmillan, but this is optional.

    You can use our webchat if you would prefer to chat online with the Macmillan Support Line.

  • Macmillan Online Community

    The Macmillan Online Community is a free online place for people living with or who are affected by cancer to chat about the issues affecting them.

    Ask an Expert is a place where you can get information and support from our professionals. Our experts are here to help answer your questions. You can visit our Online Community to Ask an Expert. You can ask your questions to: a Financial Guide, a nurse, a Work Support Advisor or an Information and Support Advisor.

Can I get face-to-face cancer support?*

*Please note, face-to-face services' availability may vary according to coronavirus restrictions. Many services that usually operate on a face-to-face basis are now offering virtual options, such as telephone or online appointments with our Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors. Although local groups are unable to continue with their usual activities, some are still running virtually.
